"Halcyon Studios is set to produce a biopic based on the life of Amy Winehouse after it optioned Daphne Barak’s 2010 book Saving Amy.

The book is based on six months of filming — comprising 40 hours of footage, exclusive photos and notes — that Barak completed with Winehouse and her family in the last three years of her life. Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning in July 2011 at the age of 27."  The Hollywood Reporter
